focussed on Steve’s portraits from the late 90’s and early 2000’s whilst living and working in Hollywood, ’SHOOTING STARS PAYS THE RENT’ brings together a diverse and delicious mix of Rappers, Rock ’n’ Rollers, Movie Stars and Trailblazers, iconic images that will be on display side by side for the very first time.

Produced and curated by Kathy Speirs, ’SHOOTING STARS PAYS THE RENT’ now its next move and lands in Manchester for a two month Artist in Residency at Kimpton Clocktower from Dec 1st - Feb 1st. Plus an extended view of Steve’s collection via a TRAIL of limited edition prints exclusively exhibited via ten further select venues in the city with the help of producer Vicki Walker.

The show features such A-Listers as Ray Liotta, Eminem, Alanis Morissette, Lennox Lewis, Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne, Mickey Rourke, JK Rowling and Michael Stipe. All prints are limited edition, each hand printed in the darkroom by the most respected master printers in the business. They include a stunning collection of gelatin silver prints made from the original negatives by world renowned black & white specialist Robin Bell. All are available for purchase, framed or print only.

Steve’s passion for film and photography finds its current expression here as he takes a deep dive into his extensive archive. Many of the negatives have been buried away in well travelled boxes for 15, 20, 25 years and now find an important new and lease of life, in this exclusive must-see retrospective.
